Vietnam’s Dat Bike Completes $26M Series B as PIDG Exits
Vietnamese electric motorbike maker Dat Bike has closed its Series B at $26 million, and early backer PIDG has exited after its loan was redeemed.

Vietnamese electric motorbike maker Dat Bike has brought its Series B funding to $26 million, and one of its early backers, the Private Infrastructure Development Group (PIDG), has fully exited its investment. The exit was reported on 20 October 2026.
Series B reaches $26 million
Dat Bike first raised $22 million in its Series B in September 2025. A second close in March 2026 lifted the total to $26 million. Japanese auto parts maker F.C.C. Co., Ltd. and Rebright Partners co-led the round. Existing investors Jungle Ventures and AiViet Venture took part, joined by new backers Thien Viet Securities and Cathay Venture.
PIDG exits after loan is redeemed
PIDG, through its project development arm InfraCo, provided Dat Bike with a $4 million convertible loan in 2024. That note has now been redeemed, completing PIDG’s exit. Beyond capital, PIDG sat at board level, provided health, safety, environmental and social oversight, and helped Dat Bike restructure its financing to bring in new investors.
Chief executive Son Nguyen credited PIDG with backing the company at a time when growth capital was hard to find.
Tenfold growth in production
During PIDG’s involvement, Dat Bike increased its monthly production tenfold and grew its store network almost twentyfold, from 4 to 70 stores, creating more than 200 jobs. The funding paid for a new manufacturing setup, including warehouse systems, upgraded battery production, new equipment and product re-engineering.
Its flagship Quantum S series offers a range of up to 285 km on a single charge. In September 2026, Dat Bike signed a memorandum of understanding with Toshiba Electronics Asia (Singapore) to develop more advanced electric motorcycles.

Why it matters
Vietnam is one of the world’s largest motorbike markets, and the shift to electric two-wheelers is a major industrial opportunity. A clean exit for an impact investor like PIDG shows that climate-focused early financing in Southeast Asian manufacturing can be repaid, which may encourage more such capital into the region.
